DENNIS W. ALPERT is Founder and President of Hidden Bay Group, LLC. Dennis has more than twenty-five years of executive level experience in the areas of Public Affairs, Government Relations, National and International Politics, Crisis Management, Professional Sports, Experiential Marketing, Sponsorship Development & Activation, Brand Development and Innovation.  He is a Partner at Washington, DC-based BHPi3, a member of the Gerson Lehrman Group’s Council of Management Consultants, a founding member of A.L.L. Partners, a music artist management group based in Nashville, Tennessee and a Principal of Ocean Racing USA, a winning consortium for the U.S. bid to host the 2014-15 and 2017-18 Volvo Ocean Race.

Before starting Hidden Bay Group, LLC, Dennis served on the National Public Affairs team for #1 Fortune 500 company, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. There he oversaw state and local government relations, public affairs, legislative and regulatory issues, political development and reputation management for Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and Neighborhood Markets. Additionally, he served in an advisory role to Wal-Mart’s extensive real estate development department and manged numerous referendum and public relations campaigns. Dennis was also responsible for corporate outreach and stakeholder engagement to the national Democratic and Republican political parties, non-government organizations and the Obama Administration.

Dennis joined Wal-Mart in January 2004 after serving as Regional Director of Government Relations & Communications for the Laborers’ International Union of North America. Based in Nashville, TN, he was responsible for creation, implementation and management of the 14-state Ohio Valley and Southern States Region political and communications program.

Dennis spent more than six years with the PGA TOUR in a variety of executive level positions most recently having served as Executive Director of The Presidents Cup 2003 staged in South Africa. Dennis also served as Director of International Government Relations and Dignitary Liaison for The Presidents Cup 1998 in Melbourne, AUS and 2000 in Gainesville, VA.  Dennis’ work at the TOUR also included development and implementation of the TOUR's corporate partner outreach and constituent communications program. Dennis was also responsible for oversight of the national launch of the World Golf Foundation’s youth golf development program, The First Tee, and for its first year of growth in the United States. He served as Executive Producer of the annual PGA TOUR Players’ Awards as well as the TOUR’s representative to the Super Bowl XXXIX Host Committee.

Mr. Alpert has extensive experience in the realm of international, national, state and local government affairs, political affairs and communications. Dennis served on The White House senior staff from 1993-1997 with responsibility for Public Affairs activities for the Vice President of the United States and, in some instances, the President of the United States. He oversaw the planning and execution of all Vice Presidential public events and diplomacy around the U.S. and the world, and was a key participant in White House strategic communications planning and crisis management. Mr. Alpert represented the United States in more than 100 foreign countries as head of delegation and lead negotiator with Heads of State, senior foreign government officials and was one of the youngest, if not the only individual in White House history, to hold the dual and simultaneous posts of Director of Advance and Trip Director. In addition, Mr. Alpert has served in senior positions on several U.S. Presidential, Senate and Gubernatorial campaigns as well as having served as senior advisor to a number of international political and human rights campaigns.

Dennis was twice named to Nashville Post Magazine's "In Charge" list of influential businesspeople and community leaders. He is a Founding Member of the Nashville Food Truck Association, currently serves on the Advisory Board of The Rex Foundation, is a member of the Nashville Sports Council and serves on 2016 NHL All Star Game Finance Committee.

Dennis is an alumnus of Choate Rosemary Hall and a graduate of the University of Rochester.
